Mourinho wants Andre Gomes in January

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho thinks he can revive Andre Gomes' career and is targeting the Barcelona man in January, reports Don Balon.

Gomes has been pushed further down the pecking order at Barcelona this season and Mourinho believes the Portuguese midfielder deserves better than the treatment he is getting at Camp Nou.

The Red Devils are still trying to add one more creative midfielder to their squad after a promising start to their 2017/18 season.

According to Don Balon, United may have to splash up to £40m if they want to sign Gomes in January or next summer.

Lima was linked with a move to Barcelona this summer

The highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Lucas Lima is being tracked by Manchester United, according to his agent Lucas Badia as the 27-year-old looks certain to quit his current club Santos in January.

Badia spoke exclusively with The Sun and said: “Inter, Roma and Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Lucas, Manchester United also want him. I think we would be well suited to the Serie A but we will see."

Lima's current contract expires in December and he has been given permission to join any European club.

Barcelona were interested in signing the midfielder earlier this summer but decided against a £15million transfer move.

Tierney has impressed everyone this season

Tottenham and Manchester United are tracking the development of Celtic's young full-back Kieran Tierney, according to Daily Record.

The 20-year-old defender has impressed everyone with some strong defending this season and has even been given the captain's armband by the Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

United manager Jose Mourinho is still not convinced about Luke Shaw's future and is looking to sign a replacement in January or next summer.

Mourinho has asked his scouts to keep a close eye on Tierney's progress this season as United are expected to make a £30million move for the Scottish international.

Fellaini has been a new player this season under Mourinho

Manchester United are prepared to use the upcoming international break to discuss a new contract for the rejuvenated Marouane Fellaini, reports Daily Star.

Fellaini was tipped to exit Old Trafford this summer but the lanky midfielder has found his form under Jose Mourinho and is one of the key players for Manchester United this season.

Fellaini's current contract ends later this year but United have no interest in selling the Belgian international in January or next summer.

United officials will offer Fellaini a new contract which will be an improvement to his current £130k-per-week salary.

According to reports, Fellaini's camp want a better offer than what the club is offering right now but hope to come to an agreement in the coming weeks.
