Nani on a mission to prove his worth at Manchester United

Manchester United v Real Madrid - UEFA Champions League Round of 16

Nani – “This is my time and I think I can be important for the team in these big games.”

Portuguese winger, Luis Nani who has been in the news lately because of his stalled contract deal, is set to earn back United’s trust.

Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League in a controversial tie against Real Madrid with the player giving an average performance on the day. However, he insisted that the best from him is yet to come.

With Premier League title and the FA cup within the Red Devils’ reach, Nani hopes to show Sir Alex that he is worth a new deal.

He said in several national newspapers: “I want to show the manager that he can trust me and he can believe in me in every match.

“I want to show him my contribution can help win games. So I’ll keep working hard to make sure I’m ready to respond every time I get a chance.”

Nani was out for quite some time with an injury and he struggled for form when he returned.

“Now my confidence is high and I think the best is still to come from me,” he added.

“This is my time and I think I can be important for the team in these big games.

“Because I was injured for two months, I’m fresh now when some other players are starting to get tired.

“I feel I’m in good form and I’ve nearly arrived at my peak. I think over the next few games I can surprise a few people.”
