Video: Nani scores wonderful injury time free-kick to win game for Fenerbahce

Nani proved that he can still make a difference with his brace for Fenerbahce

Former Manchester United winger Nani scored a brilliant 97th-minute free-kick winner to ensure a win for Fenerbahce in their Turkish Super Lig fixture against newly-promoted side Antalyaspor.

The Portuguese international put in a supreme performance at the Istanbul ?ükrü Saraço?lu stadium to earn himself a brace at the end of the game, showing Louis van Gaal exactly what he is missing out on.

The 28-year-old opened the scoring for Fenerbahce in the dying minutes of the first half, when he headed the ball past Antalyaspor keeper Saso Fornezzi after meeting Robin van Persie’s cross from the left.

The Turkish giants continued to dominate proceedings but were pegged back by the Samuel-Eto’o led team in the 70th minute, when Gusmao thundered in a strike from outside the box to change the outlook of the game.

The match boiled down all the way to a set-piece situation in the final seconds of the game, which was won by Robin van Persie. Standing just outside the box, Nani launched a vicious curling free-kick past the Saso Fornezzi, who was left with no chance to save the goal-bound strike.

The goal gave Fenerbahce their second win of the season, as they continue an unbeaten start to their league campaign after registering a draw and a win in their previous games.

Nani continues his amazing start to the season after joining Fenerbahce from Manchester United for a fee of £4.3 million. He moved to the Istanbul-based club after falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal and was one of the club’s many major signings during a busy summer transfer window, which included the likes of former Sao Paulo midfielder Souza, Danish centre-back Simon Kjaer, Bursaspor’s Ozan Tufan and former Manchester United striker and team-mate Robin van Persie.
