The National Sports Council (NSC) awarded the Nepal National Women’s Football team with cash incentives for their international achievement for winning the silver medal in the 2nd South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship held in Colombo in September 2012.

Nepal had lost to India 1-3 in the final the championship. The players of the team that won the silver medal in the championship were Jamuna Gurung, Nisha Bohara, Anjali Waiba, Rina Gubhaju, Usha Bhandari, Namita Kumari Dali, Pramila Rai, Yashoda Lama, Sajana Rana, Niru Thapa, Laxmi Kumari Paudel, Krishna Khatri, Dhim Kumari Gurung, Tulasa Singh, Chandra Devi Dahal, Deepa Adhikari, Lila Lamgade, Bhagawati Thapa, Chandra Bhandari and Anu Lama. Along with the players, team head coach Kishor KC, Assistant Coach Kumar Katuwal and team manager Bimala Paudel were also awarded.

NSC awarded NRS. 50,000 each to the players and officials of the team.
