A fantastic game put up by the Nepal National team in the second leg of the second round World Cup Qualifier saw the host draw a much higher opponent Jordan at the Dashrath Rangsala Stadium on Thursday.

The 1-1 draw was a surprise result to all especially after Nepal was thrashed 9-0 in the first leg when they visited Aman. However, the home team yesterday lifted their game to few notches and put a fighting display in front of their home crowd.

Going into the half time with Jordan not being able to break the stalemate, they finally went ahead in the 62^nd minute when midfielder Saeed Morja found the back of the net.

Nepal however kept the pressure on and finally drew level in the 80^th minute through their 41 year old veteran striker Bharat Khawas, who came in as a substitute in the 66^th minute.

Jordan however advances to the third round, thanks to the 9-0 rout in Aman in the first leg.
