Frenkie de Jong built on his impressive display against Ukraine with another magnificent showing in the center of the park. The Barcelona midfield displayed immaculate calmness on the ball and contributed to both phases of play with a composed display.

Starting alongside Gini Wijnaldum and Marten de Roon, De Jong played a string of sumptuous passes and wriggled his way out of tight situations with ease. Defensively, he tracked runners from the Austrian midfield to good effect and put in a brilliant shift overall.

De Jong is flourishing on the grandest stage and is one of the first names on the team sheet for Frank de Boer.

#2 Austria looked toothless in attack without Marko Arnautovic

With Marko Arnautovic suspended due to his controversial celebration in the win against North Macedonia, Austria struggled to get going in attack. Franco Foda's side didn't play particularly badly, but they failed to trouble the Dutch backline and gave Maarten Stekelenburg virtually nothing to do in goal.

Despite scoring three goals in their previous Euro 2020 encounter, Austria didn't look threatening at all on the night and missed Arnautovic, who looks set to return to the starting XI for the important game against Ukraine.

With both sides sitting on three points apiece, the Austrian attacker will look to inspire his side to victory to confirm his team's participation in the knockout stages of the competition.

#1 Denzel Dumfries emerges as Netherlands' surprise package of Euro 2020

After scoring a late winner against Ukraine in their Euro 2020 opener, Denzel Dumfries once again made a defining contribution in the final third for the Netherlands. The PSV Eindhoven defender won the penalty for Memphis Depay's goal, as David Alaba brought him down on the edge of the box in the opening exchanges of the game.

Dumfries looked lively in the first few minutes and made a few menacing runs down the right flank, as his speed and industry came to the fore. He capped off another fine outing at Euro 2020 with a goal in the second half after being unselfishly teed up by Donyell Malen.

The Netherlands have struggled to find a reliable candidate to occupy the right-back spot over the years, but the PSV captain finally looks like the man who can play that role for his side.
