Cristiano Ronaldo shared an inspiring message after Al-Nassr's 1-1 draw against Al-Ahli Saudi on Friday, September 13. The two sides shared the points in their Saudi Pro League clash at Al-Awwal Park.
After a goalless first half, Franck Kessie opened the scoring for Al-Ahli in the 57th minute. Anderson Talisca missed a big chance to equalise. Bassam Mohammed Alhurayji then scored an own goal in the ninth minute of stoppage to secure a late point for Al-Nassr.
After the game, Cristiano Ronaldo shared some pictures from the game on his Instagram account with the caption:
"Until the last moment. Keep believing!"
The 39-year-old played the entire 90 minutes but failed to register a goal contribution. Overall, he has four goals and two assists in five games across competitions for Al-Nassr this season.
The Knights of Njad, meanwhile, have won one and drawn two of their three Saudi Pro League games this season. They sit a point behind leaders Al-Hilal, who have a game in hand.
Cristiano Ronaldo details his retirement plan
Former Real Madrid striker Michael Owen recently spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo's life after retirement. He believes that the legendary forward might get into coaching and take up jobs at the likes of Portugal, Manchester United, and more.
However, in a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel UR Ronaldo, the Portuguese denied an interest in coaching after retiring. He said he would find it hard to coach the new generation of players and he would rather focus on his business instead. He said (via Mirror):
"For me will be difficult one day to be a coach, because I don't have passions for this generation, it's difficult especially in football, because they don't take advice by our experience. They think they know everything, they think the phones will give you good education, the TikTok, the Instagram.
"I have other things to worry about, another chapter of my life that is a business part that I'm excited about. It will be a challenge to me and learn other areas I don't know, be more involved in my business and I think will be good."
Cristiano Ronaldo recently became the first male player to score 900 goals for club and country. He reached the milestone after scoring the winner in a 2-1 win over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on September 5.
