Jude Bellingham nets Real Madrid winner as Los Blancos down Barcelona in El Clasico

Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham was the difference in El Clasico yet again as the league leaders came from behind twice to beat Barcelona. In a back-and-forth match, Los Blancos showed their quality to open up an 11-point gap between themselves and their Catalan rivals.

The Catalan side opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabeu with a sixth-minute goal from Andreas Christensen. The centre-back rose highest to connect with a Raphinha corner. The lead did not last long as Vinicius Jr leveled the scores from a penalty conceded by Pau Curbasi in the 18th minute.

La Blaugrana went into the break level but came back with intent in the second half. Their intent was rewarded in the 69th minute when a Lamine Yamal shot was parried into the path of Fermin Lopez, who restored the Catalan lead. The 14 time Champions League winners restored parity quickly through Lucas Vazquez in the 73rd minute after he volleyed in a beautiful Vini Jr cross.

Vazquez went from goalscorer to provider in the first minute of stoppage time to ensure Blaugrana would be sentenced to consecutive defeats this week. The full-back found Jude Bellingham in the box, who made no mistake in finishing off the move to break Catalan hearts.

The Balon d'Or hopeful has continued his fantastic run of form this season. The Englishman is on course to lift La Liga in his debut season and is three games away from adding a Champions League trophy to that as well.
