Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently responded to the owner of social media platform X Elon Musk, after the billionaire congratulated him. The legendary Portuguese striker took to social media to share his delight after Al-Nassr beat Al-Gharafa 3-1 in the AFC Champions League at the Al Bayt Stadium on November 25.
Ronaldo scored the first goal of the game just after the start of the second half. Angelo Gabriel doubled the lead for Al-Nassr in the 58th minute, and the Portuguese legend added another goal to seal their win in the 64th minute. A consolation goal from Joselu saw the former Real Madrid man add his name to the scoresheet, but couldn't inspire his team to victory.
After the game, Cristiano Ronaldo shared pictures of himself celebrating on X, with the caption, "Big win tonight!" Elon Musk responded to the icon's post with a simple message that read, "Congrats!"
Ronaldo has now responded to the billionaire, tagging him and stating:
"@elonmusk ... Glad your eyes have time for good “soccer” 😀 [flexed biceps emoji]."
The legendary Portuguese striker has been in brilliant form for Al-Nassr this season, scoring four goals in as many AFC Champions League appearances. The 32-year-old has also scored seven goals and provided two assists in just 10 Saudi Pro League games.
Cristiano Ronaldo shares his objectives after Al-Nassr win
Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his objectives after Al-Nassr beat Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League. The legendary sportsman has now scored 913 career goals, a distant first-place slot, with arch-rival Lionel Messi at 850 goals.
Ronaldo stated that he isn't just focused on goal scoring, but also on winning and entertaining fans. He said to the press (via GOAL):
"The presence of the public and their joy is what keeps my passion high, especially the children. We have a lot of fans of all ages supporting us, I am very happy to score and make them happy. Goals are good, of course, but the most important thing is to win. For me, the most important thing is Al Nassr's victory..."
"My first and last objective is to win. Goals come after teamwork and my focus is always on scoring and winning. If the team wins, I'm happy and I dedicate the victory to the fans, the club and Ronaldo's fans," Ronaldo added.
Cristiano Ronaldo will hope he can continue his remarkable run of form and potentially become the first player in history to score 1000 career goals.
