Amid speculations surrounding his future, Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he will continue playing for Al-Nassr next season. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's current deal with the Saudi Pro League giants expires at the end of this month.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the face of the Saudi Pro League when he joined Al-Nassr in January 2023. His move to the Middle Eastern country paved the way for a host of superstars moving from Europe.

While Ronaldo's numbers have been excellent during his stint at the Al-Awwal Park, he has won just one trophy. Therefore, there have been plenty of speculations regarding his future at the club, as the 40-year-old enters the final month of his deal.

After leading Portugal to their second UEFA Nations League title with a win against Spain on penalties on Sunday (June 8), Ronaldo was questioned regarding his future. The Portuguese superstar revealed that he will continue plying his trade for Al-Nassr. He said, as quoted by O Jogo:

"The tears were of joy. When you win something for Portugal, it's always special, but there's nothing like winning for the national team, in my opinion. This generation deserved it and we were going to have a bit of luck and merit and we were going to win the final."

"We knew it was going to be difficult but we deserved it and this gives us confidence and allows us to go to the World Cup with more confidence. Future? It won't change anything. Al-Nassr, yes," he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo has made 105 appearances for Al-Nassr to date, scoring 93 goals and producing 19 assists. He scored Portugal's second goal against Spain in the Nations League final to make the scoreline 2-2 before they won 5-3 on penalties.

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he played for Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final while carrying an injury. He said he felt something while warming up for the game, but decided to play in such a huge game.

The Portuguese superstar further insisted that he would have played for his country even with a broken leg. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United attacker said, as quoted by O Jogo:

"I had already felt it in the warm-up, it had been coming for some time. But, for the national team, if I had to break a leg, I would leave. It's a title, I had to play and I gave my best, I went as far as I could. I helped with a goal."

The Al-Nassr superstar added:

"I feel a lot of joy. First for this generation, it deserved a title. For the families, I had mine here. Winning for Portugal is very special. I have a lot of titles, but nothing better than winning for Portugal. The tears and the duty fulfilled... It's beautiful. It is our nation. We are a small people, but with a very big ambition."

"I've lived in many countries, I've played in many clubs, but when they talk about Portugal, it's a special feeling. Being captain of this generation is a source of pride.
