Manchester United legend Gary Neville has stirred the pot with his reaction to Jadon Sancho's goal.

Fans on X (formerly Twitter) are convinced that Manchester United legend Gary Neville poked fun at Erik ten Hag after Jadon Sancho bagged an assist on his Borussia Dortmund return.

Sancho came on as a 55th-minute substitute for Dortmund in their Bundesliga game against Darmstadt on Saturday (January 13). The Englishman made an immediate impact, setting up Marco Reus for BvB's second goal in the 77th minute.

He recently completed a loan move to the German club from Manchester United. Sancho had been out of action since his public fallout with Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag criticised Sancho for his lack of intensity in training after a clash against Arsenal earlier in the season, a game the Englishman didn't play. The winger hit back at the manager with a social media post, which he later deleted.

The player, though, refused to apologise to Ten Hag and remained out of the first team. Sancho has finally returned to playing football and reminded the world of his quality with the assist against Darmstadt.

Neville quoted a tweet about Sancho from Sky Sports and left two laughing emojis. Check out Neville's reaction:

It's worth noting that Sancho's loan deal with Borussia Dortmund doesn't include a buy option, so the player will be back at United in the summer. Neville's reaction to Sancho's assist, though, has stirred the pot on social media.

Fans are convinced that it was a shot aimed at Ten Hag, with one writing:

"Gary laughing at EtH."

Another commented:

"Unbelievable get him on that plane back."

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's reaction to Jadon Sancho's loan move

Since his 2021 move to Manchester United, Jadon Sancho never managed to replicate the lofty standards he had set for himself in his first Dortmund spell. The reported £73 million signing has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 82 appearances for the Red Devils.

However, the fallout with Ten Hag saw Sancho get exiled, but he has now returned to Dortmund. When asked about Sancho's departure, Manchester United boss Ten Hag said in a recent press conference (via Express):

"I hope he's doing well, so I wish him the best of good luck. That's it. I hope he's doing well, and he'll be a success."

Jadon Sancho scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 appearances in his first Dortmund spell. The talented winger looks to be back in the groove with his first appearance since returning to BvB.
