Barcelona fans were unhappy with the performances of Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha during the 2-1 La Liga home loss against Real Sociedad on Saturday (May 21). While the Blaugrana entered the contest as the La Liga champions, they were far from their best against the Basque club.

Mikel Moreno gave the visitors a surprise lead in the fifth minute at the Camp Nou. Alexander Sorloth doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute before Robert Lewandowski pulled one back in the 90th minute, but the goal turned out to be only a consolation.

It was a shocking defeat for Xavi's side, who, more often than not, have been solid in La Liga this season. Dembele and Raphinha endured the wrath of fans for their display. One of them wrote on Twitter:

"RAPHINHA LEAVE MY CLUB."

Another claimed:

"Dembele x Raphinha. That combo doesn't work for me."

Both Dembele and Raphinha have been individually effective for the Blaugrana this season. The Frenchman, who has spent a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injuries, has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 31 games across competitions.

Raphinha, meanwhile, has scored ten goals and provided 12 assists in 46 games across competitions since his summer move from Premier League side Leeds United.

The duo, though, failed to coordinate against Sociedad and were lambasted by fans as a result. Here are some of the best reactions across Twitter after Barcelona's defeat against Real Sociedad:

Both Dembele and Raphinha were part of Barcelona's starting XI to face Real Sociedad. The Brazilian was taken off in the 63rd minute with his team down 1-0. He took no shots on target and completed only 19 passes. The former Premier League star lost possession of the ball 18 times, too.

Dembele, meanwhile, went off in the 86th minute when the Blaugrana were down 2-0. The Frenchman missed a big chance, completed no crosses and lost possession a massive 21 times.

Overall, both players didn't have their best night out. Fortunately for Xavi's team, it came at a time when the team had already sealed the La Liga title. Barca will return to action on May 23 to take on Real Valladolid in an away clash.
