Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has sent a defiant message to teammate Bukayo Saka after the north London derby win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, April 28.

The Gunners sealed a 3-2 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's own goal (15') and goals from Saka (27') and Kai Havertz (38') gave the leaders a three-goal cushion before half-time.

Spurs, though, provided a late scare. Cuti Romero punished David Raya's erroneous distribution to pull one back in the 64th minute before Heung Song-min converted a penalty (87') won by Ben Davies.

Earlier, Saka had finished off a quick counterattack to score his side's second from a Havertz pass. He was a livewire throughout the game and gave Davies problems galore. After the game, Saka posted on Instagram:

"North London, you're OURS! Always & forever. THE @arsenal. #GodsChild."

Rice left a comment on Saka's passionate post:

"LET THEM KEEP TALKING!!!!"

Saka has scored 19 goals and provided 14 assists in 45 appearances across competitions for Arsenal this season. The Gunners are atop the league table with 80 points from 35 games. Manchester City are second, a point behind the summit, with a game in hand.

Bukayo Saka becomes first English player to score 15 league goals for Arsenal this century

Bukayo Saka has become the first English player for Arsenal to score 15 league goals in a season this century. That's a remarkable achievement for the youngster, who's only 22.

Saka reacted to reaching the feat, saying that he hopes to continue operating at the same level and win a trophy to show for his toils. The winger said (via Arseblog):

"It's really nice, and I hope I can continue to make records like this, but the most important (thing) for me is a trophy. I enjoyed it."

In 33 league appearances this season, Saka has scored 15 goals and provided nine assists. He needs to continue the impressive form and end the season strongly, but the Gunners need City to slip up to end their 20-year title drought.
