In a discussion after his unveiling, Cunha spoke about his decision to join Manchester United. He said (via UtdDistrict on X):

"I think my decision [to join #mufc] maybe outside, they don't understand, it was a little bit complicated. But for me, no one is like United, you know. I know it was a hard season for everyone, but I think my decision shows a lot what this club is to me."

On the back of a disappointing term (2024-25), the Red Devils have commenced the operation to revamp their squad. As their first signing this summer, United sealed a reported €74.20 million deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Cunha.

Having expressed that his passion for Manchester United fueled his move to Old Trafford, Cunha is anticipated to strengthen Ruben Amorim's frontline. He's also expected to be one of the players in the new attacking front three.

Meanwhile, many have suggested that he would be used as one of the No. 10s in Amorim's preferred set-up. Last term, Cunha was Wolves' top scorer across competitions with 17 goals and six assists in 36 appearances.

In a discussion during his first official interview as a Red Devil, Cunha said (via UtdDistrict on X):

"I think Bruno [Fernandes] is a big example for everyone in the Premier League... how to use the the shirt of this club. You feel the passion inside of him..."

Fernandes has remained an exemplary leader in United's dressing room despite their recent downfall. This was also proven as the Portuguese reportedly turned down a big-money move from a Saudi Pro League giant this summer.

In 290 appearances as a Red Devil, Fernandes has registered 98 goals and 86 assists across competitions. Fernandes is also anticipated to form a strong partnership with Cunha as Manchester United look to improve in the attack next term.
