Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he has not set a retirement deadline as he approaches the end of his career. He admitted that he was close to calling it a day, but the decision would only be taken when he stopped enjoying the game.

Speaking to the media, Ronaldo claimed that he preferred to focus on the present rather than the future. He also insisted that a retirement decision would be made on his terms and not imposed upon him. He said (via OJogo):

"I implemented something in my life which is to live in the present and not think too much about the future. That's what I instill in my life, and it's going very well, because I'm enjoying it. I don't have many more years to be able to play. The career speaks for itself, I'm enjoying the moment. I don't know about giving a deadline, because maybe tomorrow I'll get up and say I don't feel like playing anymore. At the moment, I don't feel that. I'm enjoying it and I'm very happy, regardless of not winning. When you win, you have more motivation, but I'm enjoying it. Let us see what will happen."

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly in contract talks with Al Nassr as his current deal with them expires at the end of the month. He recently admitted to having talks with sides playing at the FIFA Club World Cup, but none materialized.

Sleep is key for health span, claimed Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke on the Whoop podcast earlier this year and disclosed his sleep schedule. He revealed that he sleeps for at least eight hours a day, going to bed around 12am and getting up around 8.30am. He said (via Hindustan Times):

"Sleep is probably most important tool that I have. Only moment in day you can recover and settle everything. Great night of sleep is important in life in terms of health span. I go to bed around 11-12 and wake up 8.30-8.45 am. When you are younger you think you are unbreakable. By age, the football demands physically a lot on the body. You have to managed that. You have to be smart, do things differently. I have learned from time and with my experience, and adjust year by year."

Cristiano Ronaldo also claimed that his biological age was 28.5 because of his lifestyle and routine. He added that he walks 17,000 steps a day to keep himself motivated and fit.
