Liverpool fans on X have emotionally reacted after Jurgen Klopp ended his nine-year tenure as the Reds' boss with a 2-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The two sides faced each other in their Premier League fixture at Anfield on Sunday, May 19.

The Reds started on the front foot. They gained the upper hand in the game after Nelson Semedo recklessly lunged in with his studs up while trying to get the ball of Alexis Mac Allister. Unfortunately for the former, he caught the Argentine midfielder on the leg. While Semedo originally received a yellow card, this was changed to a red after the referee consulted the pitchside monitor following a VAR check.

Liverpool took full advantage of Wolves going down to 10 men, taking the lead through Mac Allister's header in the 34th minute. Jarell Quansah scored his second goal in as many games with a close-range finish six minutes later.

Luis Diaz somehow hit the crossbar, facing an empty net from Cody Gakpo's cross in the 50th minute. Despite boasting an xG of 5.24 and landing 36 shots with 14 being on target, the Reds were unable to score more. They had to settle for a 2-0 win - sending Klopp out on a high.
