New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim shared his thoughts following the 1-1 Premier League home draw with newly promoted Ipswich Town on Sunday (November 25). The former Sporting CP manager arrived at the Old Trafford helm this month after previous boss Erik ten Hag had faced the sack following an underwhelming start to the season.

Amorim's reign got off to a superb start when Marcus Rashford fired the hosts in front inside two minutes. It was the Englishman's first goal in nine outings across competitions. But Omari Hutchinson hauled Ipswich back on level terms in the second period to ensure a share of the spoils.

The stalemate left the Red Devils in 12th place in the standings, with 16 points from 12 games, going unbeaten in their last three, winning once. Following the Ipswich draw, Amorim said that his players are adapting to his tactics and that there's room for improvement (as per Sky via Utd District):

"I think my players were thinking too much during the game. You could feel it. Just two days (with the full squad)."

He added (as per the BBC):

"They have so much space to improve. But, after a draw, you never feel the good things. So I am really happy because they tried, but they can do so much better."

The Red Devils next face Everton at home in the league on December 1.

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim wasn't entirely satisfied with his first taste of Premier League action, as his team dropped points after taking an early lead at home.

Amorim, 39, is one of the game's finest young managers, winning two Primeira Liga titles with Sporting. On United's brisk start against Ipswich, he said (as per the aforementioned source):

We worked on that but they have the talent to do it, and then it is all about the players."

About his Premier League managerial debut, Amorim added:

"It is a great environment, a great spectacle. But when the game starts, it is like I am back in Portugal or the third division. I am so focused; everything is the same. You guys are so lucky to have the best league in the world. I am really happy to be here, but, today, I don't feel much because I like to win games."

Amorim will look for his first win as Manchester United boss when his team host Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday (November 28).
