Roberto Firmino played his last game for Liverpool at Anfield during the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, May 20. The Brazilian scored an 89th-minute equalizer to salvage a point for his team.

The ending was a fitting one for Firmino, who has saved the Reds on multiple occasions during his time at Anfield. His wife, Lari Firmino, penned a heartfelt message as Firmino ended a remarkable chapter in his career. She wrote on her Instagram story:

"Love, my prayer today is that you will receive the honor due you. And that you lay it at the feet of Jesus. All the words that have come out of my mouth these past few days are the truest."

She added:

"You are my example, my Safe Harbor, you are the love of my life, you are the most beautiful person with the most beautiful heart that I have ever known."

Lari further wrote:

"I am sure that all this recognition you are getting is because you managed to show your heart on the soccer field as well. I LOVE YOU BOBBY!"

She continued:

"Where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay! Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God! Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me with all severity if anything other than death separates me from you!"

She concluded:

"Verse 1:16-17 NIV. Thank you for providing our family with such joy and excitement."

The Brazilian forward has made 34 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.
