Out-of-favour Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has said that he is looking for a mouth-watering £104,000-a-week from potential suitors.

The 26-year-old is looking for exorbitant weekly wages from his employer, as his contract expires in the summer, enabling him to sign for any club for free. Bendtner is currently on a £52,000-a-week contract with the Gunners, and has held talks over a potential move to many clubs in England and abroad over the past year.

By any chance if he indeed lands the salary that he is after, he would be earning more wages than many established strikers in the League.

The Dane has recently been in headlines for a drunken altercation with a taxi driver in Copenhagen, while his team was playing Bayern Munich in the Champions League, and was eventually fined a total of two weeks wages by the club.

Recently, Bendtner had complained about how an unfair perception of him has been painted in the media, which taints his image in the eyes of prospective employers.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also hinted that the world has seen the last of Bendtner in an Arsenal shirt, when he said: “He is at the end of his contract in the summer.”
