Nike designs an honorary Arsenal kit to celebrate their 20-year partnership

Arsenal’s commemorative kit designed by Nike

Following Arsenal’s 2014 FA Cup victory, Nike have created a commemorative Arsenal kit compiling their present as well as their classic outfits over the years to acknowledge their 20-year partnership with the North London club.

Keeping the 2013/14 campaign’s colors as its base, Nike have combined 20 of the best outfits from the past two decades to produce a customized design for the Gunners.

The designed kit depicts the iconic moments of Arsenal’s history as the assembled colors range from the 2003/04 shirt worn by ‘the invincibles’ to the symbolic redcurrant one that marked their farewell from the Highbury stadium in 2006.

“Nike has enjoyed a wonderful partnership with Arsenal Football Club,” said Marc van Pappelendam, VP and GM of Nike UK & Ireland.

“As the Arsenal team became more iconic, their kit designs followed suit. The kits which Nike has produced for the club over the last 20 years tell a story; a timeline of success which will be remembered for a long time to come,” he added.

The created shirts will be available in limited numbers and the money generated will be donated to The Arsenal Foundation. The limited edition will be available for purchase at Nike’s Phenomenal House in London, where the shirt itself will be also be on display between May 26 and 30.
