Norwegian star to snub Liverpool?

Vegard Forren, the FC Molde and Norway defender could be set to snub a trial at Liverpool and move to Southampton permanently instead, if the Daily Star is to be believed.

The paper, quoting Norwegian media reports, claim the defender is on his way to Southampton instead after landing at Manchester airport last night.

Southampton are believed to have made a £4 million bid for the 24 year old, bettering the trial offered by Liverpool.

The Star further goes on to quote FC Molde manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in confirming the move. “There have been many inquiries from various English clubs, but Southampton submitted an offer, it was very interesting for us and Vegard,” he told Norweigan newspaper Romsdals Budstikke.

He added, “We are more or less agreed with the club, but nothing is a hundred percent confirmed.”
