Solskjaer’s biggest decision was reverting back to a fast and fluid frontline as soon as he had the personnel fit.

The Norwegian’s tactics had taken a beating ever since Anthony Martial was sidelined by injury. After the Frenchman returned against Liverpool, Solskjaer used his prized asset judiciously and ensured that he was fit to start against Norwich.

The Norwegian then teamed him up with the Rashford and James, and the three of them tore the home defense apart.

Martial’s movement and trickery kept the home defense occupied. The Frenchman stretched the Norwich backline and created gaps for Rashford and James to utilize.

The Welshman put up a commendable show on the right and even switched places to pop up through the middle. Norwich failed to deal with his movements and his runs through the channels. James showed his vision by setting up Rashford to score United’s second of the night.

The Englishman himself was brilliant on the night, displaying fantastic finishing abilities despite missing a penalty. His partnership with Martial was also the talking point of the game, as the two of them showed uncanny understanding. Rashford even assisted Martial’s goal with a backheel.
