The Scottish midfielder is slowly becoming one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s most important players. In the absence of Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay continued in a double pivot in midfield alongside Fred and gave another fine account of himself on the pitch.

The Scot dominated the midfield and bullied the opposition at times. His presence ensured that Norwich never had any control over the middle of the park.
McTominay dropped deep to help out his backline, often working as a protective screen in front of the defense. He also ventured forward at every opportunity and covered every blade of grass on the ground.
He kept the ball moving and often tried to thread long balls from deep which unsettled the home team. It was early in the first half, though, when McTominay gave United the lead.
Andreas Pereira’s cross evaded everyone in the box, but the Scottish midfielder was alert and capitalized on an error from the hosts. He scored the first goal of the game and helped United settle into the game. McTominay did lose the ball that led to the Norwich goal, but it had little impact on the game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
