Ever since Jurgen Klopp took over as the manager of Liverpool in October 2015, the German was tasked with bringing back the glory days to Anfield and with the way things are shaping up it looks like he will.

The German reached the League Cup and the Europa League finals in his very first season and followed that up by reaching the finals of the Champions League in his third season. This season it looks like he will be going all the way by winning the Premier League.

Since Klopp's arrival, Liverpool has not hesitated in spending money having signed players like Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum, Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and most notably Virgil van Dijk all for huge transfer fees. During this transition period a number of Liverpool players, who have been at the club for years, have been completely forgotten about.

Here is a look at 5 Liverpool players who need to leave this month to revive their careers:

#1 Simon Mignolet

Simon Mignolet made the switch to Liverpool from Sunderland in 2013 and for the first four seasons, the Belgian was the number 1 choice until Loris Karius came in. This season, however, Liverpool spent a whopping reported fee of €72.5 million on Allison and since his arrival, the Brazilian has been so good that Klopp has never had to think twice about which goalkeeper to start with.

Mignolet is not a bad keeper it's just that he is not good enough to make Liverpool title contenders. The Belgian international kept a total of 66 clean sheets in 203 appearances for Liverpool and any team in Europe would benefit with him between the sticks. The former Sunderland man is still only 30 and being a goalkeeper, his best years are still ahead of him.

#2 Alberto Moreno

The former Sevilla left-back was a regular in his first two seasons at Liverpool, but he constantly struggled with the defensive side of his game and eventually, after Klopp's arrival his game time kept reducing. This season, Moreno has played just played four games in total and has publicly stated that he is not happy with his situation at Liverpool right now.

The Spaniard told Cadena Ser:

"I do not feel good, that is the truth. I hurt myself giving everything for this team and I think that when I came back from injury, I deserved an opportunity. The situation is normal for a lot of players but simply, I did not like the way he (Jurgen Klopp) has treated me, you can say that."

Moreno is still only 26 years old and has a lot to offer and given his attacking prowess, he will definitely not be short of suitors. After his comments about Klopp, Moreno will definitely be looking to leave Liverpool this month itself with a move to Spain looking likely.

#3 Lazar Markovic

When Lazar Markovic signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2014, a lot was expected from the Serbian. In his first season, he made a total of 34 appearances, scoring thrice and assisting once. Given that this was his first season people did not judge him too much and was sent out on loan the following season to get experience. He has been loaned out to Fenerbahce, Hull City, Sporting CP and most recently Anderlecht, but has not developed the way Liverpool wanted him to.

Markovic is still only 24 and has a long way to in his career. With the current Liverpool squad, the Serbian is definitely not going to get any chances and a new club with a new atmosphere will certainly suit him.

#4 Daniel Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge is a world class striker and he has proved this on numerous occasions during his time at Chelsea and Liverpool. However, injuries have always been his downfall. Whenever he scores a few goals or is finding his form he gets injured. Last season he spent the second half of the league on loan at West Brom hoping to regain his form.

This season, however, while he has been injury free most of the time, he has started only three matches, scoring 4 and assisting 1. With the likes of Salah, Firmino, and Mane in such good form, Sturridge is probably never going to get back into the Liverpool starting XI.

At 29, Sturridge will not have the patience to sit on the bench for long and he will definitely be looking to move on for some regular game time this month.

#5 Divock Origi

Divock Origi was considered one of the hottest properties in world football when he signed for Liverpool in 2015. In his first two seasons, the Belgian international notched up a total of 21 goals and assisted 7. His Liverpool future was looking bright, but he needed more experience so Liverpool decided to loan him out to Wolfsburg. He impressed in the Bundesliga as well with seven goals and three assists, but Klopp could not find a place for him at Liverpool this season.

The former Lille man has managed only three appearances this season so far all coming from the bench. After his last-minute winner in the Merseyside derby this season, he would have expected more chances but nothing has changed.

At 23, Origi's best years are being wasted on the Liverpool bench and he will definitely be looking for a new club in this transfer window.
