Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has endured a great time so far as Manchester United interim manager, having won 8 on the bounce he is being considered as the permanent predecessor of Jose Mourinho. He is definitely one that should massively be considered by the Unite hierarchy.

After a super win against Arsenal at the Emirates, Ole's men hosted strugglers Burnley at Old Trafford and then they drew 2-2 a surprising result but a wake-up call.

Ever since taking over he has brought the feel-good factor back to United, and his management skills have really got the likes of Pogba and Rashford performing to an exceptional level.

Under Mourinho, it seemed top 4 would be impossible but Solskjaer has only been in the job for less than 3 months and United are definitely back in the race for top 4. This raises two points, first, all of the players clearly didn't want to play for Mourinho some people see this is as unacceptable as first of all they are very privileged in playing football for a living, but they also have the opportunity to play for of the biggest football clubs in the world. But it could be argued that Mourinho's handling of these players was not very well as he constantly criticized and publicly humiliated many players questioning things like their work ethic.

It is pretty evident that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is United through and through, he breathes and loves the club, having been such a successful player. The other candidates for the United job are Mauricio Pochettino and Zidane. United fans are starting to get put off Pochettino though and are definitely being swayed in the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He plays attacking football one of the most key and basic fundamental things when it comes to managing a club of this magnitude and the history it posses.

To summarise my points I personally believe he should be given the job due to several reasons; he's first all of playing the United way, United fans have been starved of direct and fast free flowing football for numerous years and Solskjaer is now bringing this back. He has a really strong relationship and strong affection for several players such as Paul Pogba. The fans also have a really strong feeling and love for Solskjaer and United fans are willing to show a lot of time for him as they trust him.

To conclude at the moment it makes logical sense for the hierarchy to appoint Solskjaer as the permanent manager. But it must be said it is still early days and it is it of a honeymoon period. It will be interesting to see how the United fans, but also the players react when they lose a few or when the going gets tough.
