Juventus begin talks to sign Chelsea's Gary Cahill

The defending Serie A champions have begun the new season with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Cagliari, and are on the hunt for last-minute reinforcements for what promises to be a tough season. Chelsea's Gary Cahill has reportedly emerged as Juventus' top target.

Massimiliano Allegri is understood to be keen on recruiting the Englishman, prompting Juventus to open talks over a potential move for Cahill, who could cost the Bianconeri somewhere in the ballpark of £16.5 million, claim reports in the Metro.

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcântara is allegedly pushing for a move away from the Catalan club, after the arrival of Paulinho threatens to push him further down the pecking order.

The 24-year old is reportedly keen on a move to Serie A side AC Milan, with reports suggesting that the Brazilian has already agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri, who are expected to make a formal offer to Barcelona in the next few days.
