What's the story?

Paul Pogba's brother, Florentin Pogba revealed that the Manchester United star will leave the club only for either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

In case you didn't know...

The French international, Paul Pogba joined Manchester United in 2016 for a then world record fee of £89 million and was regarded as one of the best players in the world. However, he failed to live up to his expectations and was often criticized for his performances.

He was linked with a move away from the club when Jose Mourinho was at charge at the Old Trafford but things changed under the new manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He finally started showing his true worth and was among the United's best performers under the Norweigien.

The heart of the matter

Speaking to AS, his elder brother Florentin Pogba said, "When my brother leaves Manchester United, there are only three clubs he can go to improve: City, Real Madrid or Barca,".

"He's not going to go to City, so he'll come to Spain: to Barca or Madrid."

He added: "When he was at Juventus, he could have gone to Barcelona, but he was determined to return to Manchester United, where it hadn't worked out for him the first time around.

There was also movement [over a transfer to Madrid] when [Zinedine] Zidane was in charge, but he had his heart set on going back to England."

What's next?

Manchester United will play Arsenal for the FA Cup fourth round match later today and will be looking forward to extending their winning streak under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

On the other hand, Florentin Pogba is a free agent at the moment but is set to sign for the second-tier side, Elche in the coming days after his successful trial with the club.
