We analyze a few players of Manchester United who have been under achieving this season. Below are a few who played very poor and awful this time for Manchester United in the current season.
1. Oliveira Anderson: the Brazilian has been not able to cement his place in the first squad, and even when he got time to prove himself he never proved at all. Though a physically strong midfielder, but very poor while it comes to performing. He showed some glimpse of his ability before getting injured in December; his best game of the season can be against Chelsea in the capital one cup. After coming back from injury he lost his form, and never performed as he did before getting injured. It looks like Sir Alex will offload him in the summer.
2. Antonio Valencia: was the player of the year for Manchester United last season, for most assists by a player in 2011-12 campaign. The Ecuadorian winger was the stand out player for the Red Devil’s last term, especially in the crucial part of the season. Though the player himself told that, he his playing with an injury this season. And the other thing is that the defenders know his tricks well, and are able to keep the winger at bay easily. Another problem is that Valencia neither uses any tricks to get past the defenders, nor he uses his left foot. Valencia uses only his pace and power, which at the moment is not at all working for him. It’s time for Valencia to change his style of play else he maybe on the bench, with Zaha joining the English Giants this summer will conquer Valencia’s place sooner.
3.Ashley Young: this player in particular is having a very disappointing campaign this season. The player has had a start-stop season, with getting injured twice this time. Further, when he got to prove himself, he hardly proved his worth. Though last season he was an immediate impact for Manchester United, but in the present campaign he did not even score a single goal. Also his crosses and corners have been poor. Though the free kick is mainly taken by Rooney or van Persie, which are also snatched from him. Time is running for him, its better he performs now or he gets replaced by new players or by Nani.
