Portugal U21 will begin their UEFA European Under-21 Championship when they square off against France U21 on Wednesday (June 11th). The game will be played at Stadium na Sihoti.
Portugal have not been in action since falling to a 4-2 defeat away to England in a friendly in March 2025. They were two goals down by the 10th minute thanks to goals from Hayden Hackney and Ethan Nwaneri, but Fabio Silva pulled one back midway through the first half. A late flurry of goals saw Omari Hutchinson and Jaden Philogene score on either side of a goal from Carlos Forbs.
France, meanwhile, secured a 2-1 victory over Uzbekistan in their final preparatory friendly for this tournament last week.
