Liverpool's fab four failed to score against West Brom

Loris Karius - 7/10

Karius put in an impressive performance when he was handed a rare start in the Premier League. He caught the ball cleanly on several occasions despite the wind at Anfield and made a crucial save from a West Brom corner but his quick distribution to start a counter was what caught the eye the most.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6/10

The youngster enjoyed a good first half and put in some brilliant crosses and was unlucky not to go home with at least two assists. He was shaky towards the end of the second half and was understandably replaced by Joe Gomez.

Dejan Lovren - 6.5/10

Lovren didn't put a foot wrong all game and was able to cope with Rondon when needed. He dwelled on the ball far too long at times when Liverpool needed to pass quickly to open up space.

Ragnar Klavan - 7/10

The Estonian was one of the best players on the pitch for either team. He made sure Rondon didn't get space to work in and made some brilliant interceptions and clearances throughout.

Andrew Robertson - 5/10

What Liverpool missed the most against West Brom was the width Alberto Moreno provided. Robertson clearly lacked rhythm and was squandered several crossing opportunities.

Emre Can - 6/10

He made several poor passes throughout the game and picked up an unnecessary yellow card. He didn't offer much offensively but was strong in defence.

Georginio Wijnaldum - 6/10

Not Wijnaldum's best or worst game but more was expected of the Dutchman. He couldn't help the fab four carve out chances. Was just effective enough.

Philippe Coutinho - 7/10

The Brazilian is playing better than he ever has this season. He constantly twisted and turned away from players and sprayed passes over the top to find the runs of Salah. He also had two decent efforts from distance saved by Foster.

Mohamed Salah - 6.5/10

The inform Egyptian could have scored at least two goals and was visibly upset after the game. He made some terrific runs in behind the defence but it was a night when he couldn't find the back of the net.

Roberto Firmino - 6/10

The best chance of the first half fell to the Brazilian and it is hard to decide if he took a shot or squared the ball to Coutinho but either way, a big chance was lost. He was his usual industrial self.

Sadio Mane - 5.5/10

Mane hasn't been poor in any way this season but he hasn't surely hit the heights of last season either. He had a good chance in the first half when he was found at the edge of the box but he sliced the effort wide. That summed up his game.

Substitutes:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 6/10

He was lively once he came on and his freshness caused some problem for Nyom. His run into the box gave Solanke a chance to score as well.

Dominic Solanke - 7/10

Probably should have had his first professional goal. On another day, that goal might have stood. He also had another good chance to score.

Joe Gomez - N/A

Didn't have a lot of time to influence the game as he came on as a late sub for Alexander-Arnold.
