Manchester United face Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday on the back of a crucial 3-1 away win against Crystal Palace. This could prove to be a very important fixture as Arsenal, who are currently placed 4th in the Premier League table, face Tottenham Hotspur and could drop points in that fixture.

Manchester United have been dealing with many injuries and they may be without Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial for this game too. This again gives an opportunity to the youngsters like James Garner, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong, who may be involved on Saturday.

Also, Manchester United play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League after this match, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have one eye on that match.

Here's how Manchester United could line up against the Saints:

Fred might make his second consecutive start in the Premier League on Saturday as Ander Herrera is still suffering from an injury. Solskjaer wouldn't want to tweak his match-winning midfield from the last game and the Brazilian could get another chance to impress the Norwegian.

Forwards

Alexis Sanchez (LW)

Alexis Sanchez showed flashed of his old self against Crystal Palace and he might get another start as Anthony Martial is still injured. The Chilean has to start performing now or else he may drop even further down the pecking order and be offloaded in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku (ST)

Romelu Lukaku scored two goals against Crystal Palace and showed that he still has a lot to offer to the Red Devils. He might get a nod ahead of Marcus Rashford as Solskjaer wouldn't want to rush the Englishman back from his injury.

Andreas Pereira (RW)

Andreas Pereira was on the bench against Crystal Palace and he may get a go against Southampton as Solskjaer has to rest his key players before the Champions League. Pereira was brilliant against Liverpool and he may get another shot at impressing his Norwegian boss.
