#2 Unite the fan-base
In the very last days of Arsène Wenger, Arsenal’s fan-base was sharply split. The Wenger Out Brigade often went head-to-head with the Arsène Knows Best group over what the Frenchman’s future should be. In the end, one half got what they wanted, with the other accepting defeat.
Fast forward 18 months; the fan-base is in even worse despair, with some directing their anger at Emery while others lashing out at the board. The sacking of Emery would be the best course of action to bring peace amongst the Arsenal faithful.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find an Arsenal fan that wants to keep Emery at the Emirates. The early promise and hope of change he arrived with have been completely dashed, with the Gunners now looking worse on the pitch than in the previous regime.
This international break would be the best time to sack the Spaniard, giving the club some time to heal and reset whilst watching international football.
