Aubameyang and Pepe would use their pace to exploit overlapping full-backs
For starters, Alexandre Lacazette would be charged with leading the line instead of Aubameyang, which is not exactly a bad thing as the French international is also a pretty good finisher.

Rather than play as an inverted winger, Aubameyang would instead operate as a traditional right-wing forward, as he neither possesses the accuracy nor shot power from distance to function effectively when cutting onto his stronger foot.
The same would apply to Nicolas Pepe and Emery would need both men to bring their blistering pace on the ball to the fore for this formation to perform at its optimum.
This variation would most likely be deployed against attack-minded teams playing with high defensive lines, as the pace of Pepe and Auba would come in very handy to exploit the spaces left by overlapping full-backs on counter attacks.
