#3 Harry Maguire
One player that seems to be tough to get, and who Manchester United want the most, is Harry Maguire.
Central defence is where United looked like they could use reinforcements, and Maguire is the man they have identified to fill the role. But so far, Leicester have looked like they won’t budge from their asking price, which would be a world-record fee for a defender.
Manchester United desperately need a defender that can partner Victor Lindelof since the current options don’t seem to be working out. They want someone that can play out from the back, lead the defensive line and also someone who is a cultured defender.
Maguire is all that, and both Leicester and United know it. United have the financial muscle to push the deal through, but Leicester are not in a rush to sell.
This is one deal that looks likely to be dragged out, but it is one that Manchester United know they desperately need to make happen. If they are to challenge the big teams next season, the likes of Chris Smalling, Marcus Rojo and Phil Jones will have to play backup to someone like Maguire - and not be first-teamers.
