Jesse Lingard was undoubtedly one of the poorest performers on the night. Starting in the No. 10 role, the Englishman had enough power and speed ahead of him to stretch the Wolves defence, but failed to cause too much trouble.

Lingard is usually known for his off the ball pressing, an attribute that has seen him selected for the No. 10 role ahead of better-suited players. However, he looked lethargic all night and failed to implement Solskjaer’s high press tactics.
The Englishman even had a glorious chance to double the lead early in the second half. But he scuffed his chance with the goal at his mercy. His movement and positioning in the final third also left a lot to be desired, while he contributed very little on the offensive.

Lingard did not manage even one through ball on the night, which meant that he was not much of a threat to the home defence.
The Englishman was also poor with his decision making and cost United the game. He was ultimately replaced by Juan Mata in the 81st minute, but by then, the damage was already done.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
