Varane wants to leave
Los Blancos superstar Raphael Varane wants to leave the club but Real Madrid don’t wish to sell him, says Guillem Balague. According to the Spanish journalist, Real Madrid realise that it would be very hard to sign someone as good as him for their defence.
He also added that Manchester United asked about him last year and might try again via the agent of the Frenchman – however, Madrid don’t want him to leave.
“He wants to leave Real Madrid,” Balague said.
“The problem is it’s all in the hands of Real Madrid, who do not want to let him go.
“They realise that to get a centre-back of his quality would be very difficult in the market.
“Manchester United enquired about him a year ago. Now they may try again through the agent, who has told them he wants to leave.
“But Real Madrid do not want to let him go.”
