Premier League transfer news: European Giants offer €160 million + star goalkeeper for Mo Salah, Chelsea to make a bid for Spurs star and more – April 30, 2018

Liverpool v Stoke City - Premier League
Could Salah be heading to Spain?

Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer roundup for the day. With the football season almost coming to a close, clubs are being linked with players on a regular basis. So, without further ado, let’s see what’s in the mill today!

#5 Spurs need to be braver

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur - The Emirates FA Cup Semi Final
Pochettino urges Spurs board to be braver in the transfer window

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino believes that chairman Daniel Levy could be braver in the transfer market and sign players capable of getting them silverware.

“Tottenham’s expectation is to add big quality, like all the teams,” he was quoted by Independent.

“Then it is down to the capacity you have to operate and achieve your objective. When you analyse our signings, in the percentage, it’s similar to City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea. It’s impossible to be right in every single decision. We can deal with that.

“Maybe what we need is to be stronger in our decisions. We are brave, and maybe we need to be braver in our future decisions to try to win.”

#4 Guardiola jokes about City's transfer plans

Manchester United v Manchester City - EFL Cup Fourth Round
Guardiola is not worried about his summer signings

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola joked that City could make signings worth over £1 billion in the summer before revealing that he won’t sign more than two players for the next season.

"Don't worry, we are going to spend a lot of money next season as well -- maybe £1 billion or something," he was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"It's the same question with Chelsea four years ago when they were not good the next season. Next season everyone starts with zero points. We need something.

"We need to touch something, the team. Maybe one. Maybe two. No more than that, for next year."

#3 Premier League clubs target Ceballos

Germany v Spain - 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Final
Ceballos wants more game time

According to The Sun, Kieran Tierney – who had previously been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham – is apparently on the radar of Bournemouth as they are willing to engage in a battle for the £20 million man.

Despite only just playing 90 minutes against Leganes, Dani Ceballos realizes that it was nothing more than a mirage and still wants out of the club in order to get more playing time with Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool interested in him, say Diario Gol.

#2 Chelsea to make a bid for Alderweireld

Swansea City v Tottenham Hotspur - The Emirates FA Cup Quarter Final
Time to say goodbye?

Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a £45 million bid for another teenage Ajax defender in the form of Matthijs De Ligt – just a summer after signing Davinson Sanchez from the same club and for a club-record fee, say The Sun.

Meanwhile, The Sun understand that Chelsea are going to make a bid on Manchester United target Toby Alderweireld of Tottenham Hotspur. The Belgian has rejected a new contract with the London club and could be sold in the summer.

#1 Madrid to offer Navas + cash for Salah

Juventus v Real Madrid - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Leg One
Will he be swapped for Salah?

Real Madrid’s desire to sign David De Gea and Mohamed Salah is very well documented by various media outlets. Diario Gol takes it to another level in their report where they claim that Florentino Perez wants Keylor Navas out of the club.

His first choice was to send him to Man United in exchange for De Gea but Navas isn’t agreeing to it. So the next option? Use Navas as a swap-card to bring in Salah while also paying €160 million in cash.
