Newcastle United’s interest in Miguel Almiron has been a story of the ages. The fact that the Magpies have been eying him for over a year shows how much they want him.
After such a long period of scouting, it seems as though Rafa Benitez might finally get his man in January. However, there is a twist in this tale as well. According to Guardian journalist Ed Aarons, the Toons are yet to make an offer for the player – although talks are ongoing.
He also added that the player is rated at £23 million and West Ham are also interested in acquiring the talented midfielder’s services.
“Told that Newcastle have yet to submit a bid for Atlanta United's Miguel Almiron but talks are ongoing. Paraguay player is valued at £23m. West Ham have also shown an interest,” Aarons wrote on his Twitter.
