Premier League transfer news: Isco to Tottenham, Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal and more- 16 February 2018

France v Ivory Coast - International Friendly
A tough start to Barca life

Hello and welcome to the transfer news roundup involving the Premier League teams on February 16th, 2018. The Spanish press seems to have a lot to say and here are some of the best titbits.

#5 Liverpool and Spurs-Everton

The Merseyside outfit need a goalkeeper more than anything else right now and, as a result, are trying to secure the signing of Roma goalkeeper Alisson, Sky Sports understands. The Brazilian is valued at £62 million by the Serie A outfit and talks are underway for a deal.

Meanwhile, ESPN believes that Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Dutch sensation Steven Bergwijn in the summer. The talented youngster plays for PSV Eindhoven and has scored five goals and created six assists for his club and has helped them stay 7 points clear up top in the Eredivisie.

#4 Chelsea

Real Madrid v Eibar - La Liga
The pichabros

Real Madrid might have won against PSG, but that hasn’t stopped their players from being linked with a move away from the club; particularly to Chelsea. According to Don Balon, Chelsea are readying a €150 million offer for Marco Asensio as Roman Abramovic sees him as a “safe bet.”

Florentino Perez, however, insists that he is not for sale. But then again, Diario Gol claims that Asensio is looking for a house in London.

In another report from Diario Gol, they claim that Cristiano Ronaldo is fed up with Isco and wants him out with Chelsea and Manchester City among the clubs interested in the former Malaga player.

#3 Manchester City madness

Real Madrid v Paris Saint-Germain - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg
Kroos is on Pep's radar

According to Diario Gol, Harry Kane has asked Florentino Perez to ensure hiring Mauricio Pochettino in place of Zidane because he will join Madrid only if that happens. The report adds that Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Harry Kane.

Meanwhile, in this report from Diario Gol, Toni Kroos is on the radar of Pep Guardiola. In this report from Don Balon, Pep Guardiola is preparing a £200 million bid for Toni Kroos and Isco as he prepares to strengthen his team even further.

And according to this report from Don Balon, Pep Guardiola has targeted another Real Madrid player: Marco Asensio.

#2 Manchester United madness

Barcelona v Espanyol - Spanish Copa del Rey
Barca's defensive maestro

Samuel Umtiti wants Barca to double his wages if they are to increase his release clause, but Barcelona are not willing to do it, according to Don Balon. And, as a result, Manchester United are willing to pay Samuel Umtiti's release clause of £53 million.

Jose Mourinho’s need for centre-backs is becoming apparent day by day, thanks to the indifferent performances of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. As a result, it is not really surprising to see the Red Devils being linked with defenders.

Meanwhile, The Sun claims that Real Madrid will make a move for Paul Pogba in the summer, but will need to cough up over a 100 million for the Frenchman.

#1 Mission Harry Kane and some Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur v A.F.C. Bournemouth - Premier League
The brilliant Kant

According to Diario Gol, Florentino Perez has spilt the beans on the Harry Kane deal to PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Apparently, Harry Kane will sign for Madrid in the summer as Perez intends on using Gareth Bale, Isco or Karim Benzema in a swap deal involving the Englishman.

Spurs, however, are only keen on Gareth Bale and Isco.

Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to reunite with former team-mate Ousmane Dembele at Arsenal, according to Don Balon. With his situation at Barcelona getting difficult, the Gunners want to take advantage, but they are only willing to pay €60 million for the player Barca paid over €100 million last summer.
