James Maddison speaks out
Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is once again in the news after being linked with some top Premier League clubs. However, it doesn’t seem to affect the player as he claims that he is accustomed to it.
According to Maddison, players have to ignore speculations and recalled how he had been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool when he was a teenager. He also claimed that he takes these news as compliments and that it doesn’t distract him.
"You have just got to ignore that and take it all in your stride. As a 17 year-old boy I'd started five games for Coventry and saw on my phone that I was being linked with Tottenham and Liverpool," he was quoted by Sky Sports News.
"With transfer talk you need to take it as a compliment that people are even talking about you, it won't distract me."
