Liverpool legend Graeme Souness is of the opinion that Tottenham fans forget about winning titles if they continue relying on youth academy products for it. Only recently, Pochettino admitted that Spurs might have to change their transfer methods and Souness believes that he is right.

“I read a couple of weeks ago and (Pochettino) repeated it there that they have to operate in a different way,” Souness was quoted as saying.

While the former Liverpool superstar admitted that Manchester United’s class of 92 had brought them success, a repeat of that with Tottenham is highly unlikely in the current scope of how things work in the beautiful game of football.

“If you think of United and the Class of 92, that is the only team that brought a whole team through. If they are going to rely on youth players breaking through like Harry Kane, forget it, they won’t be challenging the big guys.”
