Premier League transfer news: Man Utd want one of £200 million man, Liverpool superstar or Tottenham wizard, Fekir speaks about Liverpool rumour and more – May 7, 2018

West Bromwich Albion v Chelsea - Premier League
This could be a busy summer for Manchester United

Hello and welcome the Premier League transfer roundup for the day. We don’t have much today but there are quite a few rumours that are enough to turn the world upside down! So here we go...

#5 Butland talks about Stoke’s signings

After being relegated to the Championship, Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland blasted the club’s recruitment policy.

“I think the whole recruitment process needs looking at, to be honest. We’ve gone into a game – and over the last few months – with half the squad dotted around the world not even involved,” he was quoted by Balls.ie.

“There’s been transfers who aren’t even part of the squad for all kinds of reasons, whether it be discipline, whether it be lack of performance. So you’ve got to look at that – what decisions are being made and the type of characters.

“Too many of the recent investments have been completely unused and that’s unacceptable. For any changes to happen that’s got to be looked at, because it’s been farcical.”

#4 Sarri speaks about Napoli future

ACF Fiorentina v SSC Napoli - Serie A
Sarri has been linked with Chelsea

Amid interest from Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri has revealed that his Napoli contract has a €8 million release clause, inciting a flurry of rumours.

"If the president is happy, good, if he is not happy, I’m sorry, and he can always take the exit option he has. If he calls me, I will calmly talk about it," he was quoted by TalkSport.

“I’ve always tried to do my best for the team and if I have to leave, it’s not for what the president has said.

“There is a contract that has a clause worth €8m. We have 11 days to evaluate the situation and that is more than enough time.

#3 Nabil Fekir speaks about Liverpool

Everton FC v Olympique Lyon - UEFA Europa League
Fekir has had an excellent season

After being linked with a €60 million move to Liverpool, Nabil Fekir has come out to speak directly about the rumor, stating that he will resolve his future after the end of the season.

‘There’s nothing for the moment. I’m still at Lyon,’ Fekir was quoted by Metro. ‘There are two matches left. We’ll prepare for them in the best possible way. At the end of the season, we’ll see, but for the moment, there’s nothing.’

#2 Liverpool after goalkeeper

West Bromwich Albion v Stoke City - Premier League
Jake Livermore wanted my PL-hopefuls

While the Merseyside club don’t have a reliable first-choice goalkeeper, they are apparently targeting a third-choice goalkeeper for next season in the form of Andriy Lunin, according to Mirror.

Meanwhile, with West Brom almost certain to be relegated to the Championship, Jake Livermore could be offered a Premier League lifeline by Aston Villa should they themselves ensure promotion to the top division of England, report The Sun.

#1 Insane Manchester madness

Wigan Athletic v Liverpool - Pre Season Friendly
Can you imagine him in United's red?

While Real Madrid have always been linked with the English striker, there are two more clubs interested in him: Manchester United and Manchester City. According to Don Balon, both these clubs are interested in the Englishman.

That’s not all, however, as the report further adds that Manchester United want to wow their fans by signing one of Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Neymar or Griezmann, although the Spurs star is their first choice.
