Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premier League tonight!

Gareth Bale to Arsenal

Former Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires has advised Arsenal to sign Gareth Bale in the summer. According to him, the Welshman might be playing his last season with the Merengues.

He added that coming back to England would be good for the Welshman since he is having a very difficult time in Spain right now and is not being appreciated by the fans.

“I think there’s a good chance Gareth Bale might be playing his last season at Real Madrid,” Pires said.

“He is having a very tough time on and off the pitch at the moment, and there are a lot of questions about how settled he is in the dressing room and how appreciated he is by the fans.

“You can see that Bale is an unhappy player at the moment. I think coming back to the Premier League is the most logical step for Gareth Bale.”

He then added that while the general consensus is that he could return to Spurs, Arsenal should try to sign him in the summer.

“There’s an assumption that he would go back to Tottenham, but I would encourage Arsenal to open the door to the Emirates for him.

“I know Tottenham fans would not be happy, but Bale would be very welcome at Arsenal. I hope the club tries to see if it is an option this summer.”

Chillwell rules out move

Leicester star Ben Chillwell has ruled out a move to another club following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium. He praised Rodgers for how he nurtures talents and revealed that the former Liverpool manager also pointed out the aspects of his game that Chillwell could improve.

He then added that he doesn’t have a reason to leave the Foxes just yet as everyone in the team is happy at the prospect of working under Rodgers.

“You look at the young players that he’s brought through and the way they’ve become some of the best players in the world. Yesterday I bumped into him in the corridor and he was pointing out things in my game he felt he could improve,” he said.

“That’s music to my ears. There’s no reason why any of us should move on. I’ve never seen it so energetic around here. Everyone’s happy to see one of the biggest managers in the world coming to the club."

Manchester United want Bale

Gareth Bale might be playing his last season at Real Madrid as there are stories of him leaving the Bernabeu in the summer. According to reports from Spain, however, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United are interested in him but none of them want to pay anywhere close to what Florentino Perez wants: somewhere around €100 million.

They also add that Chelsea have a transfer ban and Tottenham is not a destination preferred by the Welshman, which leaves them out from the equation. United, meanwhile, are willing to offer €80 million but no more than that.

Negotiations for Salah

Real Madrid have already begun negotiations for Mohamed Salah if reports from Spain are to be believed. The Blancos see him as someone who can score a lot of goals and one who would be a surprise signing should the Merengues pull it off.

Jonjo Shelvey to leave Newcastle

Despite assurances from Rafa Benitez that he has a place in his long-term plans, former Liverpool star Jonjo Shelvey is most likely to leave the Magpies, according to The Telegraph.

The midfielder hasn’t been able to break into the starting XI and has been a long term target of West Ham United.
