Mourinho showered praises on him

Jose Mourinho praised Issa Diop a lot after the Hammers midfielder put on a show against the Red Devils a couple of weeks ago. The West Ham star was an incredible presence in the middle and the Portuguese manager actually even praised the scout who found him out for the Hammers.

When asked about whether the words of praise from Mourinho was good to hear, he claimed that while it was “nice” to hear the former Real Madrid manager rave about him, it is Manuel Pellegrini’s opinions that matter the most.

"Yes, of course, it’s nice. But my coach is Manuel Pellegrini,” Diop said.

"So it’s his opinion that interests me the most. He advises me to continue to progress."

After that, he was asked whether he thinks about moving to the Old Trafford should the opportunity arise. However, he stated that he is only concerned about his current club.

"No, not at all," he replied. "I'm in West Ham right now. I take the most pleasure. I try to do the best possible performance."
