#3 Fred opens up about failed Man City move
Manchester United midfielder Fred has opened up about Manchester City’s failed attempt at signing him. The Brazilian, according to the reports back then, was all set to join the Etihad outfit but in the end, he joined their arch-rivals and is now in the red half of Manchester.
And for the first time since making his move to England, he has opened up about his failed move to City. The player admitted to being targetted by Pep Guardiola’s team but once the move didn't materialise, he quickly decided that a move to the Red Devils was the right one for him.
“That’s true, I received an offer from them [City] and even talked to my Brazilian team-mates who play for our neighbours.
“They were trying to convince me to join them, but in the end, it didn’t happen. Then it was the summer and, as I said, there were other offers, including from United. I quickly decided that was the right move for me."
