#4 Christensen’s father speaks
Andreas Christensen revealed a few days earlier that he would look to leave Chelsea if he isn’t given more minutes as a prominent player at the club. And now, his father, who is also his agent, Sten Christensen, has revealed that he is looking at the possibility of moving his son and client permanently from the Stamford Bridge.
He stated that if his son’s situation doesn’t improve by Christmas, they will discuss a move for him and it would be a permanent sale. He also added that Chelsea have “too many players” and affirmed that if Christensen doesn’t play more, he will look to move in January.
“If his situation doesn't change around Christmas, we'll obviously schedule a chat with Chelsea and say, 'okay, what can we do for Andreas? Can we move him?'
'For me, it's not a loan again. Either it's Chelsea or else he needs to leave. I don't think a loan is an optimal situation for Andreas. It's sort of either or,” he said.
'I think, unfortunately, Chelsea have too many players who just go out on loan if [the club] isn't going to use them and I don't think Andreas should get caught in that
'I'm of the conviction that we'll attempt to move Andreas in the winter time [if he's not playing]. Around Christmas, something else needs to happen.'
