Jurgen Klopp has sent scouts to observe the Gremio striker and could make a bid soon. The Scousers are planning to launch a bid for the 24-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder.

Coutinho hands in transfer request

Contrary to the reports that have emerged from Merseyside earlier this week, Coutinho has, in fact, handed in a transfer request to force a move to Barcelona, according to Sky sources.

Earlier today, the club owners had revealed in a statement that the club is not going to sell the Brazilian this summer.

The Reds have been pursuing Keita since the start of the summer and have had multiple bids rejected.

However, RB Leipzig has told Klopp that they can the player next year for £48m, thanks to a clause in the contract which allows the player to leave next summer.
