#3 Liverpool given transfer advice

Former Manchester United midfielder Gordon Strachan is of the opinion that Liverpool shouldn’t look to sign anyone in the winter market despite the fact that they have been suffering from an injury crisis in defence.
With three senior defenders out of action, Strachan doesn’t think that signing players to address short-term injury concerns is fair on the player being bought – especially because Liverpool have a great team already.
“No. I don’t think because there are too many good players there to bring someone else in,” Strachan said.
“It’s unfair on the kids you’re bringing in because he’s known ‘if I get in there, play a couple of games, it might be a time’.”
The only exception for Strachan is if there are long term injuries.
“If they really think it’s long-term injuries, okay, but I think they can go two or three games.”
