Premier League transfer news: Tottenham to press for Malcom, Asensio to Manchester United, and more, 11th January, 2018

Real Madrid v Valencia - La Liga
Mourinho wants to lure Asensio to Old Trafford

Hello and welcome to your daily dose of Premier League transfer rumours. You could probably live without oxygen, but you definitely can’t survive without transfer rumours feeding your insatiable hunger to know about the latest happenings of the transfer world.

And so here I am in this section, where Liverpool feature very, very heavily. So here we go!

#5 Crystal Palace and Everton

Chelsea v Arsenal - Carabao Cup Semi-Final: First Leg
Walcott is close to joining Everton

These two clubs have been relatively active in the transfer rumour zone with both sides keen on strengthening their squad. Everton want to push further after breaking into the top half of the table while Palace want to be as far as possible from the bottom three after nearly spending half the season in it.

As a result, Everton have targeted Theo Walcott to join their ranks and provide them with the pace on the wings.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are set to make a double swoop for strikers Diafro Sakho and Oumar Niasse in a bid to finish higher up the table.

#4 Huddersfield and Newcastle-West Brom

Leeds United v Norwich City - EFL Cup Fourth Round
Pritchard is a very talented player

When I hyphenate two clubs, it means that they unified to lure to one player to their respective clubs. In this case, West Brom and Newcastle are after Diafra Sakho.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield are interested in former Tottenham Hotspur starlet Alex Pritchard. This is a big improvement from the £5 million offer that they made for him earlier.

#3 Arsenal and West Ham

West Bromwich Albion v Chelsea - Premier League
Calum Chambers or no deal

I was initially going to write about Arsenal only, but there is no harm in adding another London club in the reckoning. According to Daily Mail, Arsenal are set to call back their right-back Carl Jenkinson from loan at Birmingham City.

Meanwhile, West Brom have named their price for Jonny Evans as they want Arsenal to include Calum Chambers if they want any sort of deal for the 30-year-old former Manchester United player.

Finally, West Ham have joined the chase for Manuel Akanji, who is also a target for Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

#2 Too much Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain v FC Basel 1893 - UEFA Champions League
Liverpool could hijack United's move

Jeez, I don’t even have to write an intro for this because there is so much news about them already.

Rush The Kop believe that Arsenal target Cristian Pavon is now on the radar of Liverpool. The Argentine has a £27 million release clause on his contract and Liverpool have the money for it.

Moving on, the Reds have the opportunity to sign PSG attacker Lucas Moura.

#1 Manchester and Malcom madness

Corinthians v Atletico MG - Brasileirao Series A 2015
One of Europe's most coveted players

Reports claim Manchester United have made a bid for Marco Asensio. United need a bit more creativity up front and the Real Madrid star

Brazilian attacker Malcom has attracted quite a lot of interest from outside France. He has scored seven times and assisted five more goals this season and has been Bordeaux's best attack by far, so it's natural he's being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Concluding this slide, reports in the Mirror claim Manchester United are after talented Italian youngster Lorenzo Pellegrini, who has a £21 million release clause.
