4) Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City)

Country: Brazil
Position: Forward
Age: 20
Brazilian Serie A club Palmeiras waited 22 years to lift a league title. Much of it was down to the heroics of young Gabriel Jesus who had scored 21 goals in the 2016 campaign. It was enough to get him into the Team of the Year.
A centre-forward who can also play on the wing, the Brazilian is no stranger to winning in what has been a fledgling career so far. He also won the Copa do Brasil and took home the Gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Manchester City had seen enough and saw fit to spend £27m on him, allowing him to finish the season with Palmeiras before he moved to England in January 2017. A quick start was suddenly derailed by a metatarsal injury that saw him sidelined for much of the second half of the season.
However, he has already shown this season that he belongs in the Premier League with three goals in his last three matches which included a brace against Liverpool. He also got on the scoresheet in the Champions League as City look good to win a trophy or two this season.
Not many players can bench Sergio Aguero. Jesus did with Guardiola preferring him to play up front. But this season has shown they can also play in tandem to form a frightening partnership up front.
